What is Primary Care?
Primary Care services provide the first point of contact in the
healthcare system, acting as the ‘front door’ or the NHS. Primary
care includes general practice, community pharmacy, dental and
optometry (eye health) services.
Where more day-to-day health education, advice or treatment is
needed, which could be something urgent, but not so severe that
someone is in critical danger, patients can access a range of vital

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are groups of GP practices working
together to improve services to their patients. Our PCN is called
